EVENTS WE NOTE: JOAN DIDION ESTATE SALE

The decades of pieces acquired by the late Joan Didion - an appointment iconic symbol of Californian style - will be featured at an upcoming estate auction. The auction itself will be held at Stair Galleries in Hudson, New York as well as an exhibition to commemorate the life of the talented writer. The exhibition will be on display from Oct. 31, 2022 to Nov. 15, 2022.

Items at auction will be from Didion’s lifetime of individualistic, California-cool style and pieces she found that spoke to her rather than following trends of the time.

Didion was born and raised in California, later developing Parkinson’s Disease. As an honor to Didion, all auction proceeds will go to benefit the Sacramento Historical Society and Parkinson’s research and patient care at Columbia University.
